Meet Hannah Heath - Western Reserve High School Senior

Ever met someone and you just click?

That's how I felt when Hannah walked into the studio. I had such a feeling of ease and comfort with Hannah. Conversation was an effortlessness flow, and it felt like I had known always known her. As a photographer, it's always a pleasure to work with someone who feels comfortable with me and in front of the camera. Hannah was one of those girls. She exuded confidence and ease, which made it easy to capture her personality and natural beauty in each shot. She took direction well, but also brought her own ideas and energy to the shoot. Her comfort in front of the camera made the entire experience enjoyable and resulted in stunning photographs that truly captured her essence.

Senior year is the final year of high school, it represents a significant milestone in the academic journey. It's a year filled with memorable experiences and excitement as students look ahead to their futures. During Hannah's senior year she completed CCP courses at Kent State Salem and in addition to focusing on academics, she is currently the President of her 4-H Livestock Club and the Social Relations Officer for the National Honor Society at Western Reserve High School. Hannah has been in 4-H most of her life and has shown animals at the Canfield Fair for 9 years.

Now let's talk about softball season!!!!!

Playing high school softball during your senior year can be a bittersweet experience. On one hand, it's a chance to showcase your skills and leadership on the field, but on the other hand, it's the final season of your high school career. As a senior, you have the added responsibility of being leader and setting an example for the younger players on the team and that is exactly what Hannah does.

Senior year also brings a sense of urgency to your play, as you know it's your last chance to make an impact on the team. For Hannah this is a source of motivation to work harder, practice more, and to give it her all in every game.

The final season of high school softball also brings with it a sense of nostalgia. Memories of previous seasons and teammates flood back, and you realize how much you've grown and learned over the years. You begin to cherish every moment on the field, knowing that it will soon be over.

Senior year is a time of transition, as students prepare to leave the familiarity of high school behind and embark on a new chapter of their lives. It's a time to say goodbye to old friends and make new ones, to look back on what has been accomplished, and to look forward to what lies ahead. For Hannah, her plans after high school are to attend Hiram College where she will major in Biomedical Humanities while also continuing to play softball.

As Hannah begins to make this transition, she told me that she is so thankful to her family because without all the support and love they have shown her she wouldn't be so confident and ready to make this change. She also contributes much of her positive high school experience to counselor, Mrs. Matos at Western Reserve High School because she has been more than just a counselor to Hannah and to all of her classmates. She says, "Mrs. Matos is just one of those people you hope every kid gets to encounter."

Hannah as you begin your college journey, we know that you will have extraordinary success in all aspects of college life. We know you will excel academically, take advantage of extracurricular opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and will be making the most of every opportunity that comes your way. To sum it up, we know that you will hit it out of the park, and we will always be routing for you every step of the way!!
