CHOOSING A SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

IT’S SENIOR SUNDAY!! There is no better day than today to BOOK your senior pictures or at least gather some information. Choosing a photographer has become a consumer's marathon. There are so many of us out there, so how do you know who the right photographer is for you?

Maybe I can help. There are so many things to consider when choosing a senior photographer, so let’s break it down:

I’d say the number one thing to consider is their editing style. All photographers have their own aesthetic and editing style. What catches your eye? What makes you swoon when you see a photograph? That should be the first thing you look for in a photographer.

I consider my editing style to be bright, bold, and well-lit with true-to-life color. I have found that, for me, that captures the true essence of my teens and seniors.

Second is the experience. What do you hope to get out of your photo session? Some photographers offer quick mini sessions, while others offer full sessions that can range in hours. Some senior photographers even offer opportunities to be model reps and on exclusive senior teams that promote friendship and camaraderie among schools. (That's us, we do that)

When you hire me, you're not just getting a photo session; you're getting an unforgettable experience. We focus on creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, ensuring genuine moments are captured. Even more importantly, for me, it’s about personal connection. A photographer who takes the time to understand your senior's personality, interests, and vision will be able to tailor the session to showcase their individuality.

Here at CLP, that starts the day you make your first contact with us. I reach out personally. No automated, AI-generated texts or emails. It’s me. From that day until the day you graduate, I am with you, capturing every part of senior year.

Lastly, what do you value? Make sure the photographer you choose offers everything that you need and value. Some photographers only offer digital images, while others offer prints and products. Consider what you need and what you want from this investment. Are you getting the best value for the money that you are spending? We all spend our money differently and we all have different things that we value.

At CLP, we offer both. From digital images to heirloom products to fill your home, we are sure that we can provide what is most important to you for the investment that you make.

Don't trivialize the decision – choose a photographer whose style, experience, personal connection, and value align with what you envision for your senior pictures.

We, of course, would love to be that photographer for you but also understand that we are not for everyone. I hope you found value in our suggestions today and if the things we talked about today do align with your vision and expectations, reach out. We would love to send you more information and talk more about becoming your senior photographer.
