As a photographer, I specialize in senior and teen photography, but I also specialize in making life long friends. I couldn't be more thrilled to give you a glimpse of what being a part of my teen team is all about. Ready to dive into adventures filled with friendship, kindness, and confidence? Let's go!!!
Our mission is to provide a safe space for teens to spread kindness, camaraderie, and inclusion while advocating for confidence, self-love, and body positivity. My girls strive to be role models for those around them. My teen team is for freshman, sophomores, and juniors navigating the halls of high school drama. We go on themed photoshoots, individual birthday shoots, and model calls but we do more than just take pretty pictures.
The girls have participated in various community service projects to give back to the community. The most recent project we've engaged in was with a non-profit organization called Limitless Ambition. With the help of the community club at Bio-Med Science Academy, we were able to collect over 1400 items to make Dream kits. These are kits that are distributed to teenage girls who are in the process of transitioning out of foster care or have experienced trauma. This project was lead by one of our girls Riley Kirk.
The Teen Team also participates in many themed photoshoots throughout the year. One of our favorites has been our group shoot Growth. The idea behind this concept shoot was to celebrate all the personal growth we experienced individually and as a group over the past year. Self-improvement and growth doesn't always have to be a process you go through alone; we are all on this journey together and it's always amazing to see people supporting one another! All the girls helped capture the theme beautifully!
Throughout our year together the girls also have the opportunity to participate in smaller group shoots. These shoots give the girls a more intimate setting for bonding and expressing themselves. Take a peek into our fall photo shoot, where we had with three girls, who are definite leaders on our teen team, take the spotlight. Meet Alaina, Lydia and Julia. This shoot encompassed a whole fall vibe that we all know and love. The girls had a lot of fun with each other that day. Not only do the girls get amazing quality photos during these shoots, but they also make lasting friendships along the way!
The most special shoot we get to have with each girl is their birthday shoot. On or near their birthday, each girl on the team has individual time in front of our camera. We love this special time to celebrate everything about you!!! Davinda, our lead photographer, is very passionate about helping all the girls embrace all the beautiful things about themselves. During these shoots a lot of self-discovery and bonding takes place.
I'd like to say, this is what our teen team is all about, but truthfully that's just a small glimpse. We challenge these girls to get out of their comfort zones, branch out, and spread positivity wherever they are!
