Let’s give a big shoutout to our first senior guy we photographed this season—Michael! A proud Garfield High School senior, Michael holds such a special place in our hearts. Not only have we had the joy of photographing both of his sisters, but we’ve also known his mom and family for years, which made this session feel extra meaningful. What made it even more special was the location—we shot at the home of his grandparents. It couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop to represent who Michael is and where his roots truly are. We loved that personal touch, and it gave the entire shoot a deeper sense of connection and authenticity. Exploring such a meaningful place with a family we adore was an absolute joy, and we couldn’t be happier with how this session turned out.

Exploring the Land He Loves

For the first part of Michael’s session, we headed back into the woods—a place full of memories for his family, from exploring to hunting together over the years. It felt so special to see him in his element, especially when he hopped on his four-wheeler and led us to some of his favorite spots. Those little details really helped bring his story into the photos, and that’s exactly what we love to capture. With senior guys, we know photos aren’t always their favorite thing, so we always try to focus on the places and activities that mean the most to them. It not only makes the experience more enjoyable, but it also helps their personality shine through naturally. Michael, however, came well-prepared—thanks to his mom and two sisters giving him all the tips beforehand! He handled the session like a pro and made it such a fun experience from the very start.

Rooted in Legacy

One of the highlights of Michael’s session was getting to photograph him on a true family heirloom—his grandpa’s tractor. Capturing those moments on his grandparents’ property made it feel even more special, almost like tying together pieces of his family’s story within his senior photos. To make it sweeter, his grandpa was nearby the whole time, occasionally popping over to check in and chat. It was such a heartwarming touch and added even more meaning to the day. Michael is truly blessed to have this property as a backdrop—a place that feels like home and holds so much history for his family. The tractor shots quickly became some of our favorites from the session, and you could see the joy on Michael’s face as he posed with it. Those photos perfectly reflect not just who he is now, but also the deep family roots that will always be a part of his story.

Sharp Looks & Summer Smiles on the Dock

Next, we made our way to the family’s little pond—a place where countless summers have been spent swimming, celebrating, and making memories together. Capturing Michael on the dock felt so special, almost like weaving those family traditions into his senior photos.

For this part of the session, Michael wore a more formal outfit, and he looked so sharp and handsome. His smile was absolutely contagious, and it never left his face while we were photographing him. What made it even better was how easygoing he was throughout it all. Michael went with the flow, stayed in the moment, and truly enjoyed the experience. He kept us laughing with his jokes, and his lighthearted energy made the entire shoot so much fun.

Fierce, Focused & Friday Night Ready

And of course—we couldn’t end Michael’s session without incorporating football! This is such a big part of his senior year, and let us just say… he did not disappoint. To get the perfect shots, we had to get a little creative (and a little wet). We waded into the pond for the best angles, and his mom even jumped in to help by spraying him down with the hose. Let’s be honest—she might have enjoyed that part a little too much! It had all of us laughing, and the behind-the-scenes moments made the shoot that much more fun. The results were absolutely worth it. These photos captured Michael looking fierce, determined, and strong—exactly the energy we wanted to showcase as he heads into his final football season. They’re powerful, bold, and such a perfect reflection of his dedication to the sport.

Exploring, Laughing, and Living in the Moment with Michael

Michael, we absolutely loved your session and still can’t stop talking about what a fun day it was! Getting to explore your family’s land with you made the experience so special—it felt like a personal tour through the places that shaped who you are. You truly rocked this shoot, bringing in all the things you love, from the pond to the four-wheeler, and yes—your truck even made an appearance (check out the shots below!). You had so much fun, laughed endlessly, and yet somehow made it all look effortless in front of the camera. We are so grateful to have been the ones to capture this chapter of your life. Michael, we’ll always be cheering you on and rooting for everything amazing that’s ahead!

Oh, and did we mention it was absolutely blistering hot during Michael’s shoot? We’re talking nonstop water breaks, wiping away sweat, and even sneaking a few minutes with our feet in the pond just to cool off. When it’s that hot, we know it can feel tough to stay patient for photos—but Michael handled it like a total champ! Big shoutout to his mom, too, who made sure he stayed refreshed and camera-ready the entire time (we seriously loved that!).

Even with the heat, Michael and his family kept the energy light and fun, which made the whole session so memorable. We even captured a silly little video of them goofing around in between shots—and honestly, it’s the perfect reminder that senior photos don’t have to be stiff or serious. They can be full of laughter, inside jokes, and fun moments… even in 99-degree weather!
