I met Jordan many years ago when she was just a preteen. She and my daughter happened to be enrolled in a dance camp together. I was immediately drawn to her as she stood out among all the younger dancers with incredible skill. Later, both my daughter and Jordan became students at the same school of dance, and I was able to get to know her even better. Jordan was always the little girl with confidence and a mind to know what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it. Perhaps a bit ornery, but it fit her well.
Jordan's strength and confidence only continued to grow as she excelled in competitive dance and cheer. Always striving to be the best she could and worked hard to get there. Dancing and cheering competitively requires a lot of time and dedication, which Jordan has always been willing to give. She has also given of herself as she mentors and teaches younger dance and cheer students at her studio as a senior dancer. A true role model for the younger girls to aspire to.
In addition to dancing and cheering competitively, Jordan cheered at the Friday night football games at Ravenna High School. Rallying the crowd and creating an exciting and spirited atmosphere to support her team on the field.
When it comes to building and choosing a career Jordan isn't settling for anything less than her dreams. She has been studying at Maplewood Career Center and will graduate in the spring with her medical assisting degree and will continue to advance herself in the medical field after graduation. I know that all Jordan's hard work and dedication will serve her well as she continues to build her future plans and dreams.
Being able to watch a little girl grow into such a beautiful woman is truly heartwarming for me. I'm so glad they chose me to be her senior photographer. I'm sharing a little clip of the summer afternoon that Jordan and I spent together capturing her senior portraits.
