MEET CIERA - Southeast High School Senior

Senior Year, the year that is supposed to be one of the most memorable times of your life. It's the last year before you transition into adulthood, and for many, it's the year you make some of your most cherished memories with your friends.

Ciera loved high school and being around her friends every day. She admits she even enjoyed the teachers. She played volleyball for 3 years, was a member of link crew and was on the danceline all 4 years of high school.

Unfortunately, Ciera had to miss out on a lot of her senior year because she was sick and couldn't attend school most days.

At first, Ciera was devastated. She didn't want to miss out on her senior year. But as time went on, she decided to make the most of her situation. Even though she couldn't be in school she could still stay connected with her friends through social medial and video calls. She was able to participate in some school activities and she could still make memories with her family. Particularly her niece, Chloe, who is officially her bestie.

Ciera's positive attitude made all the difference. Instead of dwelling on what she couldn't do, she focused on what she could do. Including, HER SENIOR PICTURES.

Although Ciera wasn't feeling her best the day, we shot her session you would never know it because despite everything, she never lost her smile. She remains positive and hopeful as her medical team helps her navigate through each day. She is showing everyone that even in the darkest of times, there is always something to be grateful for and although she has missed out on a lot of her senior year, she is grateful for the experiences that she has had.

Ciera has learned to appreciate life in a whole new way, and she has made lifelong memories with the people she loves. Ciera's story is a reminder that life can throw unexpected challenges our way, but it's how we respond to those challenges that truly matter. With a positive mind and a grateful heart, we can make the most of any situation and find joy in the midst of adversity.

Yes, Ciera it has been a year, but it is still YOU'RE YEAR.

I'll end my senior spotlight of Ciera with a clip from her senior video. I love giving everyone a peek inside a senior session. You should really watch it; she is cute as can be.
