There’s something special about meeting someone who’s full of personality, dreams, and heart — and that’s exactly what you’ll find when you meet Teagan. She’s almost 15 (tomorrow is her birthday 🎂) and already carving out her place as a fun, loyal, and hardworking freshman at Rootstown High School. From volleyball games to choir solos and big dreams of becoming a cosmetologist, Teagan’s story is all about finding joy in the little things and growing into the person she’s meant to be.

What Makes Teagan, Teagan
When we asked Teagan what makes her who she is, she smiled and said it’s her friends who give her personality and shape her every day. She’s the kind of girl who stands up for the people she cares about — fiercely loyal and always making sure her friends are okay.
“There’s this girl at my school who really inspires me,” Teagan shared. “She’s such a good athlete, gets great grades, has a social life, and is just a really good person. I want to be like that.”
Teagan describes herself as kind and nice, though she admits she can sometimes come off as blunt or reserved. “I’m not a people person all the time,” she says with a laugh, “but if you’re my friend or my family, I’ll always stick up for you.”

Friendship and Fun
Teagan lights up when she talks about her friends — Lexi Weaver, Chloe Bell, and her boyfriend, Liam Thomas. “Lexi has this funny humor and she’s so easy to talk to,” Teagan says. “We can do anything together and it’ll always be fun.” Chloe, she adds, “is sweet and goofy — she’s always dancing and making everything fun.” And Liam? “He’s kind and respectful. He always makes me laugh, and I never feel like I have to be perfect around him.”
Some of Teagan’s favorite memories include the night she and her friends played games, TP’ed houses, and trolled some classmates — all in good fun. And New Year’s Eve? “Chloe and Liam came over, and we just took over my house,” she laughs. “Then the next day, we all went to Top Golf, went shopping, and ended the night at a party. It was such a good time.”

Life at Rootstown High
As a freshman, Teagan is already balancing school with her favorite sports — volleyball and softball. She started softball when she was just five or six because her sister played, and later picked up volleyball in seventh grade “because it looked fun.”
Her favorite memories from both sports come down to the team moments — from team bonding at Cedar Point with her softball teammates to dance parties on the bus after volleyball team meals. “Those moments are what make it all so special,” she says.

Family Bonds
Teagan has a big age gap between herself and her siblings — her sister is 11 years older, and they’ve grown close as Teagan’s gotten older. “She graduated when I was in kindergarten,” and Teagan says when she was younger, that sister was her role model — smart, athletic, and living what looked like the perfect life.
Teagan says while finding her own path, “I look up to my mom. She’s a cosmetologist, and I want to follow in her footsteps. She works so hard, and I want to be like that.”

Dreams and the Future
Even though Teagan is already an aunt to four, she says she’d love to get married and have kids one day — but for now, she’s just embracing life as “the cool, fun aunt.”
When asked what her biggest dream is, Teagan didn’t hesitate: “It would be an absolute dream to go to Bora Bora. It’s just so beautiful there.”

Joining the Teen Team
Teagan joined the Teen Team because she saw it as a chance to make friends and connect with photography — something she’s always loved. “I thought it would be a great way to make friends and to have fun,” she says. “It’s also helped me feel closer to the art of photography.”
Her favorite part? “Going out to places and running into people from other schools — people I would’ve never met otherwise. It just makes me happy,” she says. “And the group shoots are so much fun! You get cute pictures, make new friends, and it’s just this big, happy group.”
For anyone thinking about joining, Teagan says it’s a no-brainer. “It’s the best decision. You’ll have so much fun, look great, make friends, and even if you’re introverted, this is the best way to branch out. Everyone is so nice, and you’re guaranteed a fun time.”

Hidden Talents and Little Dreams
A lot of people don’t know that Teagan can sing — and she’s been doing it for as long as she can remember. “I used to run around my house singing to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift every day,” she says. “My parents told me I was like a walking musical.”
She’s been in choir since sixth grade, and not only that — she’s competed in choir solo and ensemble for two years in a row, earning the top score each time.
And if she could have one wish right now? “Honestly,” she laughs, “a bigger room!” She dreams of having hardwood floors, a light blue (almost white) color scheme, a floor bed on a raised platform, and a walk-in closet to hold all her clothes.

The Girl Behind the Smile
Teagan’s story is full of laughter, friendship, creativity, and a growing sense of independence. She’s the kind of girl who finds joy in singing at home, competing on the field, or laughing with her best friends. As she steps into her fifteenth year, there’s no doubt she’ll keep chasing her dreams — whether that’s mastering cosmetology, exploring Bora Bora, or simply making memories with the people she loves most.
