Capturing Summer: Wildflowers, Sunsets, and Summer Magic

A Session as Bright and Beautiful as Summer

Let’s rewind back to our session with our beautiful senior, Summer, from James A. Garfield High School! We had been dreaming up her session for a while, and it was everything we hoped for (and more!). From floating in a wildflower field to strutting down a dirt path, galloping through grassy fields, glowing among the sunflowers, and finally ending the evening in the water at sunset in a stunning blue dress—Summer’s shoot was pure magic.

A Day of Heat, Heart, and Pure Magic

She truly had the full senior session experience with us, complete with a variety of locations and moods that showed off every side of her personality. And while she made it look effortless, don’t be fooled—it was hot that day! Thankfully, dipping into the water at the end was not only refreshing but also the perfect way to wrap up such an incredible shoot.

Blooming with Summer

Summer brought so much joy to her session—laughing with us, chatting the whole way through, and even making some fun TikToks (which if you want to see then click here to watch!! ). We kicked off her shoot in a hidden wildflower field, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. The golden blooms, soft breeze, and dreamy light felt like they were made just for Summer—she fit right in, radiating pure beauty and happiness.

Bubbly, Bold, and Beautiful

Did we mention that Summer brought the cutest outfits to her session? Each look felt like something straight out of a magazine, elevating the entire shoot. One of our favorites was her jeans, a chic tank, and the sweetest little heels—which, of course, meant she had to strut for us and show off her model walk. And let me tell you, she absolutely nailed it! We also got to recreate some senior photos similar to her mom’s, posed against a tree, and it was so special seeing those side-by-side moments come to life. What we adore most about Summer is how she never shies away from being herself—always fun, bubbly, and full of light. Having her on our Teen Team and now as a senior has been such a gift, and while we’ll miss her giggly, outgoing personality, we are so thankful for the extra time we’ve had with her! This shoot was a blast, even in the heat!

Burgundy Dreams & Sunflower Scenes

Even though the heat had us all melting, we moved on to the next location that gave us the dreamiest fall vibes. Summer slipped into the most gorgeous burgundy dress, and it was suddenly like fall had arrived —it was pure magic. Of course, we couldn’t resist getting her in the sunflower field too, because how could we not? Sunflowers, golden grass, a stunning girl, and the perfect dress—that’s our idea of a dream session. Oh, and fun fact: while twirling through the tall grass, we learned that Summer is actually allergic to grass! Thankfully, no reactions—just laughter and gorgeous photos (but it definitely could’ve made for an interesting twist to the day).

Where Summer Meets the Sunset

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up Summer’s session than at beach where she slipped into the most gorgeous, flowy blue dress that matched the golden glow of sunset perfectly. As the sun dipped lower, the entire sky turned into a masterpiece, creating the dreamiest backdrop for our final moments together. Summer twirled, danced, and floated effortlessly along the beach and into the water, looking every bit like she had stepped out of a perfect movie scene. The way the fabric caught the breeze, the reflection of the sunset on the water, and her natural radiance all came together for images that we’ll never forget. And while the sunset was absolutely breathtaking, the truth is—it wouldn’t have mattered. Summer shines so brightly all on her own, radiating warmth and joy wherever she goes.

Ending on the Sweetest Note

Summer, it has truly been such a joy having you on our Teen Team and now getting to spend this extra special time with you for your senior session! You showed up with the best outfits, the brightest smile, flawless hair, and of course that bubbly, sunshine-filled personality that we adore. Even with the heat, you never let it dampen your mood—you laughed, had fun, and made the entire day feel effortless (and honestly, you can’t even tell it was hot in a single photo!). We hope you treasure these images for years to come, because we are absolutely obsessed with how your session turned out and it was an honor to capture it for you!
