This month, we celebrated four of my girlies' birthdays on the teen team, Averi Weis (Field High School), Emmy Roberts (Springfield High School), Jenna Canale (Southeast High School), and Olivia Smith (Southeast High School). Let's talk about the shoot! READY??
BEHIND THE LENS: THE INSPIRATION BEHIND OUR DAFFODIL PHOTOSHOOT
Don't these photos look like a nice warm spring day? Believe it or not, it was FREEZING so all of us were thinking very warm thoughts thoughout the shoot. Behind the scenes the girls bundled up with a few blanket breaks to warm up, but dispite the cold weather, these girls powered through it and had fun with our theme, “If you can’t see the sun, BE the sun.”
FRIENDSHIPS IN BLOOM
Sometimes the world can be a gloomy place, but with these girls around, they just bring light where ever they go. I take great joy in making sure to provide a safe place where everyone is included and gets the chance to make great friends along the way.
Take Jenna for example, she has this energy to her that just makes everyone around her feel welcome. Jenna’s kindness has no bounds and her ability to uplift others is truly remarkable. I am truly grateful to have Jenna on this team.
As we were taking photos, someone walking by stopped and said, "you look so beautiful!" It's random acts of kindness like this that can make quite the difference in someone's day. Since promoting kindness and positivity is what we love to do receiving it back felt really great!
Olivia just absolutely radiates positivity and it was obvious to see that from the first day we met her. Olivia jumped right into our group and has brought a contagious energy to every photoshoot we have had.
We love having Averi on our Teen Team. Averi brings a fresh perspective and a sense of optimism to every new beginning. Spreading hope and joy wherever she goes!
Another truly amazing thing I see with the girls on my team is them boldly tiptoeing out of their cozy comfort zones and diving headfirst into the shoots! Meeting new people can be nerve-wracking, but when you're surrounded by such a supportive and energetic group, these friendships form with ease!
Another example of this is with Emmy. Emmy’s infectious enthusiasm and fearless spirit, makes every shoot becomes a day filled with unforgettable memories.
As the shoot came to a close, I can't help but feel like the luckiest photographer on the planet! Today's daffodil-filled April birthday shoot with these four incredible girls has been an absolute blast from start to finish, despite the freezing temperatures. Here’s to these fabulous girls, whose vibrant personalities and love for life truly warmed my heart today. I can't wait to enjoy many more magical moments ahead!
Daffodils are a beautiful symbol of hope and new beginnings, and with our TEEN TEAM applications just opening for next season, we thought today was a perfect day to share a little from this photo shoot.
