Meet Melina McKee from BioMed Science Academy! It’s not every day we get to photograph a senior we’ve watched grow up—from a baby to a beautiful young woman. Melina’s mom, Kari, and Davinda share a long history of friendship, making this session incredibly bittersweet. Capturing Kari’s little girl as she prepares to step into the next exciting chapter of her life was truly special. We’ve also had the privilege of photographing Melina at different stages throughout the years, so having this full-circle moment for her senior photos felt extra meaningful! These pictures turned out stunning, which we knew would because Melina is beautiful.

Melina’s senior session took place in a location that often surprises people—but it’s actually one of our favorite hidden gems: Maple Grove Cemetery. While it might seem like an unusual spot for photos, it’s absolutely breathtaking, especially in the fall. And with the stunning Melina as our subject, how could we resist? She wasn’t the least bit surprised by our choice—maybe because she knows we love to think outside the box! We had an amazing time capturing her in this unique and picturesque setting, soaking in the beauty of a perfect autumn day.
