CAPTURING MADY: Dance, Determination, and Dreams of Making a Difference

Mady is already a force of energy, purpose, and positivity. A student at Bio Med Science Academy, she’s someone who knows how to juggle it all—school, dance, leadership, and friendships—with a sense of grace and unstoppable drive. Whether she’s working on a school project, volunteering, or hitting the stage in a tap number, Mady is always giving it her all. Her life is a beautiful blend of passion, ambition, and heart—and she’s only just getting started.

Finding Her Place on the Teen Team

This year marks Mady’s first season on Davinda’s Teen Team, a unique group of high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors brought together through photography, friendship, and empowerment. The team is more than just modeling—it’s a space where girls from different schools and backgrounds form real bonds, grow their confidence, support one another, and step outside their comfort zones. Through photo shoots, meetups, and shared experiences, members of the teen team are encouraged to shine inside and out.

Mady quickly found her place in this supportive community. From laughing through silly moments to making memories at shoots, she says the best part is “getting to see all the girls, hang out, and take fun photos together!” It’s also where she discovered just how fun—and meaningful—it is to connect with new people who share the same positive energy.

Of course, being part of the team means you also have to be willing to share space with the bees and gracefully exit public parks when bluebells apparently cross the line. (Full disclaimer: we were absolutely in a public space, and CLP always follows the rules and is super respectful—but we did have a run-in with one very grumpy officer who clearly had a personal vendetta against spring wildflowers.) It made for quite the scene and an even better story.

Her advice? “Be willing to step outside your comfort zone. It’s so worth it.”

The Rhythm of Her Life: Dance and Dedication

Mady is a dancer through and through. A proud student at Roberts Conservatory of Dance, she started dancing as a little girl, took a break, and recently returned—rediscovering her passion thanks to friends who encouraged her back into the studio.

“I love tap and jazz the most, and I really like looking back at the dances I’ve performed.”

This season, she competed with “Black and Gold” and earned 2-3 top overalls—a huge accomplishment for her first year doing competition again. But more than the trophies, it’s the growth that matters most to Mady. Her advice to anyone starting comp dance?

“Don’t be mad about your ranking—every comp scores differently. I was scared at first too, but I’ve definitely improved.”

Building a Bright Future in Healthcare

Beyond the dance floor, Mady is deeply focused on her future in the medical field. With her sights set on becoming a pediatric nurse, she’s already laying the groundwork through classes, clubs, and hands-on involvement.

At school, she thrives in science classes like Anatomy and Biomedical Engineering, and though math isn’t her favorite, she’s determined to power through it. She’s the Vice President of BPA (Business Professionals of America) and a member of HOSA, two clubs she joined to build professionalism and explore her healthcare interests.

“I’ve done HOSA for 3 years and BPA for 2. I love the opportunities they give me. My favorite memory is going to BPA states with Riley and Kailie—especially when we went swimming!”

In the near future, Mady hopes to attend Stark State College to get her LPN, eventually earning a higher degree and working with children as a nurse. Her vision is clear: to make a difference in the lives of others through compassion and care.

Inspired by the Strongest Woman She Knows

At the center of Mady’s journey is one person who’s shaped her more than anyone: her mom.

“My mom is my greatest role model. Her strength, kindness, and resilience inspire me every day. She supports everyone around her, even in tough times—and I want to be just like that.”

Some of Mady’s favorite memories with her momma are the little things—Starbucks runs, shopping trips, or Target dates with her mom. Those quiet moments of love and connection are what fuel Mady’s spirit.

Living Fully, Loving Fiercely

Whether she’s volunteering, dancing, studying for a healthcare career, or just laughing with friends, Mady embodies what it means to be passionate and hardworking. She believes that the different parts of her life—competitive dance, school clubs, music, work, and friendships—all come together to shape who she is.

“I’m a very hardworking and determined individual. All these things make me who I am.”

Mady’s journey is just beginning, but her heart is already in the right place. She’s lighting up every room she walks into—on stage, in school, and on the Teen Team. With her eyes on the future and her feet planted firmly in her values, there’s no doubt: Mady is going to change the world.

Happy Birthday Mady!!!
