Stepping into her freshman year at Waterloo High School, Grace is ready to take on new challenges with the same heart and energy she brings into everything she does—whether that’s a volleyball game, a cheer practice, or a 4-H project out in the sunshine. With a personality that’s funny, creative, caring, and kind, Grace is one of those people who naturally brings light and laughter into every room.

“I know I’m created in the image of God,” she shared. And it shows. Her positivity and desire to help others are woven into everything she touches, from supporting her teammates to volunteering with kids and lifting up her friends whenever they need it. Grace is the kind of girl who always puts others before herself—but never forgets who she is.

Passion-Filled Days & Memorable Moments

When Grace isn’t at school or a photoshoot, you’ll likely find her on the volleyball court, cheering on the sidelines, or pouring her heart into her 4-H projects. With three years of volleyball, two years of cheer, and an impressive six years in 4-H, she’s a dedicated and team-driven spirit.

Some of her favorite memories? “Making up songs for our volleyball coach,” she laughs. Whether it’s silly or sentimental, Grace cherishes the moments where she and her teammates come together as a true sisterhood. That sense of support and friendship is what keeps her showing up, season after season - which is why we wanted a girl like Grace on our Teen Team!!!

Looking Ahead: High School & Big Dreams

This year, Grace is especially excited for the freedom of high school, new classes, school dances, cheering under the Friday night lights, and of course—making more memories with her friends. “I can’t wait to go to dances, cheer on the sidelines, and play on the volleyball court,” she says. She’s also looking forward to growing more confident and finding her place in a bigger world.

In five years, Grace hopes to be doing something she truly loves, figuring out her future one step at a time. But what’s clear even now is that she’s already walking in purpose—with a strong heart for helping others and a deep belief in the power of kindness and confidence.

Teen Team Moments & Sisterhood Surprises

One thing Grace is especially excited for this season? “The big reveal of who my big sister is!” Her eyes light up just talking about it. Being part of the 2025/2026 Teen Team means more than just photoshoots and events—it’s a chance to make new friends, grow in self-love, and find joy in being part of something bigger.

“I joined the Teen Team to make new friends and help be more confident in myself,” Grace says. And if her warmth, humor, and heart are any indication, she’s going to inspire everyone around her to do the same.

Grace’s Birthday Shoot at Umbrella Alley

To celebrate her birthday, Grace had an unforgettable photoshoot at Umbrella Alley in Louisville, Ohio—a location that’s known for its whimsical, colorful canopy of hanging umbrellas. But this time, there was a twist! While the umbrellas are usually a bright rainbow of colors, they were still set up in festive red, white, and blue for the 4th of July.

Instead of letting the change throw us off, we improvised—and Grace absolutely rocked it! Her cheerful personality and natural confidence shone through every shot and she turned the shoot into something uniquely hers. Whether she was laughing under the umbrellas, posing confidently, or just soaking in the moment, Grace made the session unforgettable.

Her ability to adapt and shine, no matter the setting, is exactly what makes her so special. Even when the backdrop wasn’t what we expected, Grace turned it into pure magic—proof that her personality is the true color in any picture.

📸 A Note to Grace from Davinda

Grace, it brings me so much joy to see you step in front of my camera and be unapologetically, beautifully you. Braces and all.

So often I see teens try to hide their smiles during this phase of life—worried that a little metal might somehow take away from their beauty. But the truth is, these braces are part of your right now story. They represent growth, transformation, and the journey you’re on.

Your willingness to smile fully, to laugh freely, and to embrace who you are in this exact moment is something truly special. These years can feel awkward sometimes, but leaning into who you are—right now—makes them a whole lot less awkward and a whole lot more real.

Never stop, Grace. And to every teen reading this—don’t wait for “perfect.” You’re already enough exactly as you are.

With so much love,

Davinda
