Introducing the beautiful Emma Nelson from Rootstown High School! Emma found her way to us through her younger sister, Keegan, who’s part of our teen team—so it was extra special getting to work with another amazing member of their family. Her session took place right here in downtown Ravenna, where we explored some unique spots around the studio before heading inside for a cool, customized sports setup. We then made our way to the soccer field to finish off the session, capturing Emma in her element. Since soccer is such a big part of who she is, it was important to highlight her passion and make it a central part of her senior photos—and she absolutely rocked it!

Capturing Emma’s Passion for the Sport

Much of Emma’s session was all about capturing her love for soccer and the significance of her final season with Rootstown High School. We incorporated her uniforms, cleats, soccer balls, and other personal touches to make the shoot truly reflective of her journey. One of our favorite elements was using the lockers as a backdrop—it brought a cool, authentic school vibe that elevated the entire setup and gave it a unique edge compared to just shooting on the field. Emma completely owned this part of her session; you could tell this was her element. The confidence and connection she brought to these shots made it clear—this wasn’t just a photo session, it was a celebration of her passion.

To wrap up Emma’s session, we took the fun out to the field for some action shots in her uniform and cleats. A sporty senior session just wouldn’t be complete without capturing moments on the field—where it all happens. Emma got right back into her element, kicking the ball (almost taking out our social media girl in the process—oops!), bouncing it on her knee, and posing near the goal. These images truly captured her energy, skill, and passion for the game. It was the perfect way to highlight the sport that has meant so much to her throughout high school.
