At just 15 years old, Emma is already a shining example of what it means to be kind, motivated, and true to herself. As part of the Teen Team for Capture Life Photography, Emma represents not only friendship and growth but the power of embracing positivity in all aspects of life.

Her Mindset and What Makes Her, Well, Her
When asked what makes her her, Emma says it's all about her mindset. “I stay motivated and try my best in everything I do,” she explains. Emma’s dedication is clear, but what stands out even more is her commitment to kindness. "I believe it’s important to be kind to everyone around me because kindness can do so much to make someone else’s days better," she says. "You never know what someone is going through, and being kind can really make a difference."
This philosophy reflects Emma’s deeply thoughtful nature. She’s the type of person who doesn’t rush to judge others, instead focusing on creating a supportive environment for the people in her life.

The Influence of Friends and Family
When it comes to what makes her feel most herself, Emma mentions her friends. She cherishes the close-knit relationships she has built. “They are always there for me and are like different versions of myself,” Emma shares. Her bond with her friends is a testament to her belief in the importance of surrounding yourself with people who uplift you.
Emma’s values are also deeply rooted in her family, particularly her grandmother, whom she looks up to as a role model. “We are a lot alike,” Emma reflects. “We’re both very independent and hardworking.” Her grandmother’s strength and resilience in overcoming life’s challenges inspire Emma every day.

Her Passions and Hobbies
Emma’s passions extend beyond her mindset and relationships—she’s an athlete, a musician, and someone who embraces new experiences. She’s been playing softball since she was just four years old, and her favorite memory from last summer was winning the championship. Softball has played a big role in her life, and the dedication she brings to the sport shows her commitment to teamwork and perseverance.
This year, Emma has also ventured into cross country, and while she’s only just started, the joy she’s found is evident. “Running at practices with the team and laughing a ton” is her favorite memory so far, and it’s clear that Emma values the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Emma is also a talented musician. She’s been playing the clarinet for four years, and one of her favorite memories is attending band camp at a university in Pennsylvania. Emma’s diverse interests show just how open she is to trying new things and embracing all the opportunities that come her way.

Kindness in the Face of Bullying
One of the things that makes Emma’s heart stand out is her approach to bullying. If she saw someone being bullied, she wouldn’t hesitate to step in. “I would comfort them and reassure them that what the bully is saying isn’t true,” Emma explains. “I might encourage them to stand up for themselves and if I saw it firsthand, I would stand up for them too.” Emma’s compassion shines through, as she believes in standing up for others and offering support when it’s most needed.

Favorite Moments with the Teen Team
Joining the Teen Team has already provided Emma with memorable experiences. One of her favorites was the Christmas shoot, where she had the chance to connect with the other girls in a relaxed and fun environment. “I got to get to know more of the girls during his shoot,” she recalls with a smile. It’s moments like these that remind Emma of the strong, supportive bonds she’s formed through the Teen Team.
For anyone considering joining the Teen Team, Emma has some great advice: "One, you might be out of your comfort zone, but that’s okay because you become more confident in yourself. Two, it’s all about being positive and uplifting girls—it’s not about negativity. Three, it’s really fun, and you get to meet so many new people who can become great friends."

A Kind and Motivated Soul
Looking ahead, Emma is passionate about traveling and discovering new places, with Italy being at the top of her list. "I've always really wanted to go to Italy," she shares, her eyes sparkling with excitement at the thought of exploring the world. While she’s still uncertain about exactly what the future holds, Emma is drawn to the idea of studying law in college. "I’m not sure what I’ll study yet," she says, "but lately I’ve been interested in law. Whatever I end up doing, I hope I enjoy it and become successful."
Emma is a beautiful example of the qualities the Teen Team celebrates—kindness, motivation, growth, and the power of friendship. Whether she’s on the softball field, running with her cross-country team, or connecting with new friends through the Teen Team, Emma’s light shines bright. We can’t wait to see all the incredible things she will accomplish as she continues to grow and inspire others.
