Meet Emersyn (Emmy) Roberts —

We kicked off our Class of 2026 senior sessions with the beautiful Emersyn Roberts, and she absolutely set the bar high! Emmy isn’t a new face around here — we had the joy of having her on our Teen Team for a year, and we loved every moment of it. Luckily, Emmy is also part of our Senior Influencer Team, which means we get to hang out with her throughout her entire senior year — and we couldn’t be more excited!

Her session was truly magical — from running through flower fields to splashing in the river, and even showcasing her passion for cosmetology. Emmy brought so much personality to every shot, and it was a dream to capture. Let’s take a closer look at her session and get to know this sweet, beautiful soul a little better. We can’t wait to share all the magic we created with Emmy!

A Session Full of Heart and Style

From the moment Emmy stepped in front of the camera, she radiated confidence, kindness, and joy. She has such a calm yet fun energy about her that makes her so easy to be around — and even easier to photograph! Whether she was twirling barefoot through the flower fields or laughing as she waded into the river, Emmy made every moment feel effortless and full of life. One of our favorite parts of her session was highlighting something super important to her: cosmetology. Emmy’s passion for beauty and creativity shines through in everything she does. We loved incorporating tools of the trade and capturing her in her element — confident, glowing, and doing what she loves. It’s always extra special when seniors bring a part of who they are into their shoot, and Emmy did just that. Emmy participates at the cosmetology program at Portage Lakes Career Center. Creating these branding photos for her to use as she begins her cosmetology career was something we loved doing for her.

A Legacy of Love in a Red Blouse

One of the most meaningful moments from Emmy’s session was when she wore a beautiful red blouse that once belonged to her grandmother. This wasn’t just any blouse — her grandmother wore it every Christmas, making it a cherished family memory and a symbol of love, warmth, and tradition. Seeing Emmy wear it during her senior session added such a touching and personal layer to the experience. It was incredibly special to capture her in something that holds so much sentimental value, and those images will forever be a reminder of the deep bond she shares with her family. Moments like this are what make senior sessions truly unforgettable.

A Piece of Her Heart: Emmy’s Tribute to Her Grandmother

"There are certain pieces of clothing that carry more than just fabric — they hold memories, moments, and the presence of the people we love most." For Emmy, one of those pieces is her grandmother’s red blouse.

"Wearing it felt like a reminder that she’s not just a part of my past — she’s woven into who I am. Her strength, her sass, her beauty. The softness of the fabric, it still smells a little like her. In her blouse, I feel held, loved, remembered. As if she’s never really gone..."

Emmy’s grandmother, Mary Kay Harmon (1/17/1945 – 11/21/2016), clearly left a lasting legacy. Capturing Emmy in this special blouse was such an honor, and those images will forever hold the deep love and connection she continues to carry in her heart.

Bloom & Beauty in the Lilac Gardens

We had the best time with Emmy exploring the dreamy lilac gardens in Kent, Ohio. This gorgeous location was the perfect backdrop — bursting with color, sweet floral scents, and a whimsical charm that felt straight out of a fairytale. Emmy lit up the space with her joyful spirit as we ran through rows of blooming lilacs, laughed between shots, and fully soaked in the beauty of nature. The way the soft purple petals surrounded her added such a romantic, ethereal touch to her images — it truly felt like we were capturing magic in every frame.

Wading into the Moment

Our second location took us to the peaceful river in downtown Kent — a stunning spot that gave us a chance to cool off and soak in the serene beauty of nature. Emmy had one request for her session: she wanted to get in the water — and we were so here for it! She fully embraced the moment, stepping into the flowing river with total grace and bringing her vision to life. Now, let us tell you — river shots may look dreamy and effortless, but they definitely come with their challenges! Between the slippery, uneven rocks beneath the surface and making sure her dress flowed just right with the current, this setup takes patience and balance. But Emmy? She handled it all like a pro. Her calm confidence and adventurous spirit made for some absolutely breathtaking images that were 100% worth the effort. These water shots are some of our favorites and truly reflect Emmy’s willingness to dive in (literally!) and make the most of every moment.

A Day to Remember with Emmy Roberts

Emmy, what an absolute joy it was to spend this day with you — laughing, dancing through the flowers, capturing your passion, and ending it all with an enchanting dip in the river. Every moment of your session was filled with so much light, energy, and heart, and we couldn’t be more thankful to have had this time with you. We missed having you around after the Teen Team, so getting to work with you again — and knowing we’ll see even more of you this year — makes us so excited for what’s to come!
